Terrariums

This is a science experiment me and my 5th grade class did this is me and my partner Akhila's terrarium. A terrarium is a mini garden inside a container of some sort. We had a choice of planting Pea, Radish, Corn, Barley, and Clover. We put animals and plants in the terrarium the Animals were Isopods and Beetles they both really likes the dark but they both liked to live in different envirments. The Isopods liked wet soil and the Dark ling Beetles preferred saw dust. A we put them in we tested there envirmental factors in our animals some of the envirmental factors were Hot or cold, Dark or light, Food choice me and Akhila picked Dark or light the Isopods prefers the dark side we think because all of the isopods escaped! The plants that grew the best in our turrarium was corn the corn is the tallest plant in the turrarium it is the one in the right.

Turrarium Oparation

Me and my partner akhila worked on building a terrarium first Mr.Reed told us to draw how our turrarium should look like so me and akhila wrote it then he let us put the seeds in we had clovers, barley,corn, pea and otheres. made a runway because our teacher Mr.Reed told our class that he was going to put a Isopod or a dark beetle in it. Me and akhila worked as hard as we could to make the runway he said you make the runway by getting a piece of aluminum foil and make it a shape as a rectangle so then me and my partner tried it so we did the same process he told us to do then . After we finished making the aluminum foil look like a rectangle we he told us to put a cardboard peice of paper in the bottom so the bugs won't jump off. So we did exacly what he told us to do.

Camp

Yesterday, I was at camp it was a awesome experience the first thing we did was get situated in the dorms me and Maddie slept next to the bunk closest to the bathroom because I was scared i would press the emergency button at night.

There was a lot classes, my favorite ones were water cycle, forest community, geology, air quality, pond, and wildlife. But my favorites were wildlife and water cylcle in both of them I went on hikes.In wild lifeme an d my group went on a 5 mile hike.

At about 6:00 it would be time to shower and after we showered we would go down to the fireplace room were one of the night activities were going on. The first night activities was when the string man came. (Mr. Reed) He caught us how to do lots of string figures like the Cup and saucer, the Eiffel tower, and Jacobs Ladder. One of the other night activities we did on the last night at camp was dissecting Owl Pellets. It was really nasty. We had to look for animals insides that the owl ate. Me and my partner Alison found 1 skulls and a no rib cage and teeth.

Somthing I would change the time we wake up because we wake up at 7:30 at my house i wake up at 10:00 and sleeping in the dorms because everyone kept talking and talking at nicht and giggling it was so annoying.

Cyber Bullies

Most cyber bullies live around Michigan if you should

1. Tell your parents

2. Shut-down your computer

If you have a cyber bully, you should never give your true identity to anyone and NEVER meet. You should change your email address fo example ABC-123star.hotmail.com

If you had a bad day at schoolor somthing cyber bullies try to bully you and try to hurt your feelings.

So remember try to stay away from cyber bullies tell your parents if you ever get cyber bullied and shut-down your computer if you ever get cyber bully.

Do you know whenever you a big bundle of joy then the next minute your crushed of sadness that happened to me a week ago. I asked my parents if i could have a dog and guess what they said "SURE!" I was so happy I was a big bundle of joy I was so happy I couldn't even speak then the next day guess what when i said "when are we going to by a dog" they said "we never told you we were going to by you a dog?"

I felt so bad it was like someone stood on me 1,000,000 times. So I telling' you now and telling you again don't trust you parent if they say there going to by you a dog!

Foss plane project

On March 3rd I constructed a Foss plane with my friend/partner Allison.

This picture demonstrates how we made the Foss plane and winded it to fly and we winded the propeller. We made the Foss plane with a little straw, Popsicle sticks, Big straw, stapler. First me and Allison sanded down the Popsicle stick then so that they were both even and would fit into a item that we used later. Then we cut the jumbo straw in half and we hole punched each part of the jumbo straw one only one end and slid the little straw into the holes we made. After that me and Allison squeezed the jumbo straw's other ends of the jumbo straw between the Popsicle sticks and stapled them together. When we were done me and Allison took the propeller piece and stuck it in one side of the to squeezed Popsicle sticks. On the other side of the sticks, we stuck a piece with a little tab hanging out of a end, we put a rubber band on the tab and on the hook that connected to the propeller we put a string threw the Foss plane.

In the experiment we measured the string and it was 230 centimeters we tested the plane and we discovered that our plane needed 26 winds of the propeller to fly the length of the line. Me and Allison guessed that our plane needed about 15 winds to fly halfway down the line.We discovered that our plane needs 15 winds to fly halfway so our guess was right on the money!

And this experiment, we learned about tension, and how the rubber-band makes the plane go. We also learned that you shouldn't change more than one variable at a time. The bigger and thicker the rubber band, the plane goes farhter, the smaller and skinnier the rubber band, it doesn't go very far. .

Slipped

It was a cold morning as usual I was getting my cloths for a bath but when i asked a silly question to my dad it was who won for Oscers when it happened I slipped it was horridly back almost broke it sounded like a sudden crack it hurt ed like if you put a needle threw your bones when the stairs stopped I thought I got paralyzed because of the pain I was ggoing to go to the hospital but I decided not to the pain in my backbone felt like you slipping in ice head first OOOOOOCCCCCCHHHH!!
When i came to school ad it was recces time I could not run i think the pain affected my legs so I thought my friends would just leave me but they didn't they stayed they did not even ask me "why do i have to do this"? or anythig
So I noticed i have and always will have the best friends in the whole intire world.
Then my back got beter for a minute!!)

Leprechaun's

Leprechauns

I know a kiddish thing i don't like saint
Patrick's day just because of the leprechauns i like it because everyone gets
chocolate. I have a advice if you are reading this and your 9-12 you should
defiantly not believe in leprechauns and if you are reading this and you are 3-8
you should still keep believing in it. That reminded me of when I was in 1st
grade and I saw a leprechaun and it was like the size of a kindergartner and I
am not FAKING. If your a 5 year old and no one cares that you saw something well
I'll believe you. When i was in 4Th grade I gave up thinking about leprechauns
but now I am pay attention aren't I?

So my morel is believe in whatever you see like leprechauns and
fairy's and other mythical creatures!

Case of the lost diamonds

One fine morning, when Allison and Snoopy her dogs were walking they heard an unusual scream coming from Bloomfield Hills. Allison and Snoopy ran toward it, it was so loud it was like the school bell ringing 5 times. By the time Allison and Snoopy came to the screaming lady they only saw her black hair then Allison asked someone near “what happened.” Then nobody was there and the lady vanished. Good thing Allison got Snoopy, he sniffed out some footprints. “Good job, boy,” Allison encouraged. While Allison was encouraging her dog, Allison’s long blonde hair drooped by her dogs fur. Then all of a sudden Allison’s friend came, whose name was Suchitra. Suchitra always thought that Allison was one of those 10 year old girls in a fashion magazine. When Suchitra went away Allison and Snoopy followed the footprints, it was like they were in a wild goose chase. But the goose chase just ended, there was a dead end. Allison gasped and said “why, why does there have to be a dead end.” As Allison wiped her tears, Snoopy saw more footprints. It was in front of a fence, which was in front of Allison’s crabby neighbor. Allison’s neighbor was so crabby because if Allison gave her neighbor some flowers her neighbor would just throw it to back to Allison and if she said “here some chocolate,” her neighbor would say “it is contaminated with your germs.” So she told Snoopy to stay because how can she climb the fence and hold Snoopy at the same time. So Allison finally climbed the fence, while her dog was barking. While Allison was climbing she hurt herself in the gap on the fence, she was constantly bleeding. The blood was dripping everywhere; it was dripping on her shirt and on her torn jeans. Blood. Painful blood. When she got there she tried to hold her arm that was where the blood was coming from. Then while she was holding her arm she saw 3 people. They were: Akhila Jared Meera They were the ones that were closest ones to the jewelry shop, which was robbed yesterday. So Allison tired to get to the nearest police station. And ask them if they could tell her if Akhila, Meera, and Jared did any crimes lately. When Allison got there she asked if they did any crimes lately. The police officer replied and said “they do crimes all the time.” Allison asks “what type of crimes did they do?” They all did a murder, Jared did a bank robbery, Meera stole the key to the city, and Akhila admitted that she admitted that she had kidnapped someone.” So Allison wanted to be a part of it so she asked the police officer if she could help in any way he said “I am so glad you asked me and the police officers will need all the help we can get so here are their files.” Allison looked through Meera’s file first it wrote where she lived, what she did as a crime and if she went to jail. So it said live in the West Indies. Allison whined and said “that’s 3 miles from here.” Suddenly Allison had a flash back, she remembered after she went out of the house she wore her favorite high heel shoes …
She had to walk with her high heel shoes, a painful walk. So finally when she got to Meera’s house…

Happy Valentines

I hope everybody had a nice valentines day and every teacher I should tell you about one special teacher and she could not make it for valentines day because of her leg everyone felt sorry for her but didn't know what to do then a teacher said we will have to make a get well soon card so we did we made the funniest things we could put on it so the next day our teacher went to the hospital and said if she liked it she loved it. So if anyone is sick ar can't make it for anything give them a get well soon card

I lost a tooth i know it seems kind of childish but i got 3 bucks for it so now in my piggy bank i have $30 I wish i always lose teeth not to see the tooth fairy but to get money!

The tooth fairy is your parents not a person with wings fluttering around and tooth fairy's don't make there houses out of your teeth.

My opinion is if your a 5th grader you don't have to be afraid and if your a 2ND grader believe in it all you want but when you get older you'll get tired of the tooth fairy.

The Summer

The reasons why I like summer more than winter is that in the summer the warmth of the sun will keep you worm in the winter there is no sun at all to keep another reason is that you can go to beach's and swimming pools and in the winter you'll have to wave goodbye to it one thing I like about winter is in the winter you can play with a lot of snow! Another reason I like summer more than winter is the summer you can play volleyball in the winter it is a rule you can't play it so if you do you can't play it for one whole month. Those are some reasom's I like summer more than winter!!

Obama's Inauguration

"The big inauguration" that's the last words I before I went to school the words rang over and over in my head I thought what it meant over a million of times. Politics, candidates those were the words of presidency that I knew so far Sasha and Malia are the luckiest daughters in the world 1 because there father is the president and 2 they live in the white house. You know how after you shut the front door in your house there is no one to disturb you in the white house it is not only like a house there is like a office. If I could ask the president any question I would ask him I would ask him this would you rather be president and work really hard and pay no attention to your children or would you pay attention to your children and do presidency if your answer is you always have to take care of your children like Barack Obama did .

I dissagree with John beacause when he puts it in the water he is not only making it dissolve he makes a soltion and he might harm some animal in the water.

Donate To Hospitality House

Dear families of Walled Lake and Wixom,

People should give food to the needy and poor. Are you one of the people that are needy? If you aren’t, listen up and think of it this way, imagine that you didn’t have enough food to feed your family.
I know what it feels like because I went to Walled Lake’s hospitality house. Do you realize the hospitality house of Walled Lake serves 600 families each month? I was amazed that they had enough food to serve 600 families!
Do you want to offer your time or volunteer? Volunteers keep hospitality house running by stacking shelves, assisting clients, helping with food drives, data entry, filing, fund raising events and a lot of other ways.
If you can’t offer to your time or you can’t volunteer you can drop off non-perishable goods. Donations of cereal, canned fruit, meats and stews, those all are good. Many people can’t afford their food for their whole family.
The Walled Lake hospitality house between January and September helped and assisted 4,368 families, it’s not only families they have helped, and they also have helped 4,059 children. If you don’t help families and children, people will starve.
Michigan’s economy is down which is causing people to lose their jobs and money. The whole reason there is a hospitality house like when people lose their job they don’t have money to pay for there food. Say that you lost your job, would you pay for your mortgage or would you feed your family? You could do both if you went to hospitality house.
If you go to hospitality house you are setting a good example for your children. Your children will grow up and donate to charities and go to hospitality houses and drop off food if you start donating now you will feel better inside. I felt like I did something to help the world when my class donated a ½ ton of food. I wondered if everyone in Michigan donated to hospitality house everyone that was needy would get all the food that they needed.
So Please donate to your local Hospitality House.
